Grand Theft Auto V review for PS5

Grand Theft Auto V was first released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, almost a decade ago at this point. The game was a gigantic success when it was first launched, but I don’t think anyone can predict that not only will the game still be relevant in 2022, it will also continue to be one of the most popular games on the market across all platforms. The success of Grand Theft Auto V and its online companion (which has largely become Rockstar’s primary target) cannot be overestimated, but for the fourth re-release, the game is now in a much different space than all those years ago GTA 5 gratuit .

The last time players were forced to pay for GTA V and GTA Online again in 2014, when the game hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which were the state-of-the-art next-generation consoles at the time. PC gamers could take to the streets of Los Santos just a few months later in early 2015, but the game only exists in this form to this day. There has never been an update for PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, the game has never received any new content other than online updates, and countless games have come and gone in the meantime .Peoples also searching for wpit18

With this revamp, dubbed “Enhanced and Enhanced”, GTA V and GTA Online are finally available in modern resolutions and frames per second on consoles. All of these quality-of-life features that other games received towards the end of the last generation, such as faster frames per second, sharper resolutions, frustration-free multiplayer, and more are finally available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions of the game, but are all these enhancements worth the paid upgrade that might as well just have been free?

Grand Theft Auto 5

While the single-player portion of Grand Theft Auto V has been completely neglected since it was originally released, there are still a good number of people who still haven’t had a chance to experience the game’s story, believe it or not. Despite GTA V being nearly ten years old, some people will jump into Franklin, Michael and Trevor’s shoes for the first time with the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S re-release and thankfully the game looks and performs better than ever.

During this time, there are several graphics modes to choose from. Fidelity mode offers native 4K resolution at 30fps with ray tracing (only for shadows), Performance mode offers 60fps with upscaled 4K resolution, and Performance RT mode offers a mix of the two. All three modes are great, but the Performance mode is certainly the best of the group as ray-traced shadows in Fidelity mode are quite disappointing. There aren’t any major graphical alterations, though, and it still looks like a revised PS4 / Xbox One version for the most part.

However, the campaign is still as good as it was in 2013, so it’s an incredibly enjoyable experience. Its writing doesn’t come close to the pinnacle of Red Dead Redemption 2, though, and it’s very easy to see how far Rockstar has come in the storytelling department since the game’s first release. What was 2013’s cutting-edge satire now feels a bit tired, but most of the main themes are still relevant and the three heroes are great characters to follow. These are beloved characters for a reason, and the story is still a blast of Hollywood references from start to finish.

In addition, Los Santos is an amazing open world to discover, possibly one of the best and most detailed ever created. There is a lot of extra content, from triathlons to tennis matches, and the environment is gorgeous and varied. Switching on and off the traffic while your selected radio station sounds is still an unparalleled feeling, and entering the freeway to visit the wide-open Blaine County is a wonderful change of pace from the city’s streets. It’s GTA V. It’s okay. We all know it’s good.

While this release still says “Grand Theft Auto V” on the box, we all know Story Mode isn’t the highlight here. Grand Theft Auto Online has cannibalized its single-player counterpart to the point where it now has a standalone version, and that’s the reason 90% of people will choose this next-gen port. While GTA Online was meant to be a huge deal from the outset, even before the original release of GTA V, no one in the world could have predicted how this would be achieved.

The free multiplayer mode of 2013 has become one of the most profitable and influential games of all time, and continues to do well in 2022 with no signs of slowing down. With this in mind, GTA Online’s systems and infrastructure were not built with this level of success in mind, and the game may still experience these limitations today.
