This edition of FIFA World Cup 2022 has been magnificent in terms of Goal scoring. Big teams like Spain, Netherlands, England had stunning wins in initial rounds of the World Cup. 

Since then even in the Round of 16 teams have registered big win to qualify for next round as well. Even so far in the 6 Knockout games 21 goals have been scored. Brazil registered a big 4-1 victory against South Korea. 

With their big wins in first few rounds England and Spain are among the top scorer in World Cup 2022. Here’s the list of Top teams with most number of goals in this edition.

Ghana – 5 Goals

One of the African giants Ghana despite failing to qualify for Round of 16 has been powerful with their Goal Scoring game. Ghana in 3 group round games have scored 5 goals. Ghana registered a close win over South Korea by 3-2 margin.

Croatia – 5 Goals

Croatia has not been great with their on field performance. Last evening they registered a win over Japan in the Round of 16 on Penalty Shootout and has qualified for Quarter Final. In Group round Croatia registered only one victory over Canada by 4-1 margin. Croatia will face Brazil in Quarter Final.

Portugal – 6 Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal have been good with their performance in the group round. Portugal won their opening game by 3-2 against Ghana and 2-0 against Uruguay. Portugal also suffered a setback against South Korea. They are now set to face Switzerland in Round of 16 on 6th December.

Germany – 6 Goals

Germany may have failed to qualify for the Round of 16 in Qatar, yet their 4-2 win against Costa Rice made them enter this list at 7th place. 2014 World Cup champion had poor outing in two consecutive World Cup editions. Germany faced a huge upset against Japan in their opening encounter.

Brazil – 7 Goals

With a 4-1 victory against South Korea in Round of 16, Brazil has jumped up to 6th place in this list. They have a powerful squad with one of the best attacking and midfield line, yet in the group round they failed to register big wins in Group round. Brazil after their dominating win look to be peaking at the right time, they will next face Croatia in Quarter Finals.

Argentina – 7 Goals

Lionel Messi led Argentinean side has been clinical after their setback against Saudi Arabia. After the first game loss, Argentina has scored 7 goals in the tournament so far. Argentina is considered as one of the top favourites to win this World Cup edition. Argentina will face Netherlands in Quarter Final.

Netherlands – 8 Goals

With 8 goals Netherlands stand 4th in this list. Netherlands have been scoring continuously in this edition FIFA World Cup 2022. They scored 2 goals against Senegal in the first game, since then they have scored one against Ecuador, 2 against Qatar in Group round. Netherlands played the opening game of Round of 16 against USA and scored 3 goals. Netherlands will play against Argentina in the Quarter Final.

France – 9 Goals

The Current World Champions France had a dominating performance so far in the World Cup. France also registered a big win against Australia in their opening game by 4-1. Since then France had a good run in this world cup, scoring 9 goals overall so far till Round of 16. France tamed Poland in Pre Quarter Finals by 3-1. France will face England in Quarter Final.

Spain – 9 Goals

2010 World Cup champion Spain also started their World Cup 2022 campaign with bang, it was goal heist for La Roja against Costa Rica. They won their opening game by a big margin of 7-0. Though after that game they faced also had s setback against Japan. Spain will face Morocco on 6th December evening.

England – 12 Goals

England started their World Cup campaign against Iran, in this game England registered a big win by 6-2. Since then England had scored 12 goals in the tournament. England also won their Round of 16 game against Senegal by 3-0 margin. They are now set to face France in Quarter Finals.
