Don’t look now, but the Golden State Warriors are hot, winning four straight games to move up into the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference.
Now, Golden State is expected to get superstar guard Stephen Curry back in the lineup on Sunday, a huge addition for the stretch run of the 2022-23 season.
Even with Curry returning, the Warriors’ odds to win the NBA Finals have not changed in the market, but there could be some serious value on them in a wide open West.

Golden State won the title last season, and a healthy Curry, and the eventual return of Gary Payton II gives Golden State the most depth it has had all season.
The Warriors were around +750 to +900 in the odds for most of the season until Curry went down with a leg injury. That pushed their odds back to over 10/1.
Right now, Golden State ranks 12th in the NBA in net rating, putting it outside a historical trend for teams that win the title.
However, it certainly could jump into the top eight with a strong finish to the season. Golden State currently has a 0.9 net rating, mainly because the team is terrible on the road this season, going just 7-23 straight up in 30 games.
With 12 road games remaining this season, the Warriors need to pick their play up away from Chase Center to truly position themselves as a contender in the West. Now that Curry is returning, there is no time like the present for Golden State.
The West is wide open, unless you believe that the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies (team’s Golden State beat on its Finals run last season) are truly a cut above the rest.
I don’t. So the perfect time to jump on GSW is before the odds move when Curry is back.
