Regent Seven Seas Cruises recently celebrated the naming of their latest ship, the Seven Seas Grandeur, on December 10 in Miami. The event was made even more special with the renowned Fabergé jewelry house playing a key role in the festivities.
The Seven Seas Grandeur, the newest addition to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet, was officially named on December 10 in Miami. The ceremony was extra special with Sarah Fabergé, the great-granddaughter of the famous Russian jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé, serving as the ship's godmother.
In a remarkable highlight, Regent unveiled the first-ever Fabergé egg to be permanently housed at sea. Named 'Journey in Jewels', this custom-designed masterpiece is proudly displayed in the Grandeur's atrium. It's the star of an impressive 1,600-piece art collection aboard the ship, which even includes works by Picasso. Guests can explore this collection through Regent's first digital art tour, available on their mobile app.
The event was a glamorous affair, attended by travel advisors, past guests, VIPs, and even featured a performance by Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth.
The Grandeur, which can accommodate 746 passengers, is the sixth ship in the Regent fleet and a sister ship to the Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Explorer. It stands out with a high staff-to-guest ratio, thanks to its 548 crew members. The ship boasts Regent's signature dining experiences, including Compass Rose, Chartreuse, and Prime 7, among its eight dining venues, offering 130 dishes exclusive to the Seven Seas Grandeur.
After the naming ceremony, guests embarked on a three-day voyage to the Bahamas, marking the beginning of the Grandeur's journey at sea.
